Minecraft has been released at November 18, 2011 by the creator Notch. In December 2011 when Markus persson (notch) stepped down Jens Bergensten (Jeb) took leadership for Minecraft.

Mojang made 816.049 million SEK profit in 2013.
The parent company of Mojang is Microsoft. Mojang was bought by Microsoft for 2.5 Billion USD that's 2.3 billion euro's.

Planned for minecraft 1.9 is using shaders instead of OpenGL, a new GUI for command blocks, new cloud rendering system, redo of Ender Dragon boss (They added fire breath to the boss)

The producer of the Minecraft music is  Daniel "C418" Rosenfeld. The genre of the Minecraft music is non-lyrical ambient music.


A new Telltale game is being made about Minecraft. Telltale makes games like The Wolf among us, The Walking Dead. You can play the game with making choices to make progress. The release date is somewhere around 2015.

Minecraft was once in a South Park episode. I should probably not write the episode title here because the title contains inappropriate words.

Did you know PewDiePie played Minecraft in one of his first episodes on youtube.

There is a Spectator mode where you can watch other players play and look through their perspective.

There is a biome called Ice Plains Spikes it looks very interesting
