Above I have a sample YouTube video, which is the main reason for my absence. If this is against the rules, please notify me immediately. Enjoy
My absence is not to speak of, I... must... upload... more regularly! Yes, I have stuff like YouTube, but the holidays are nearly here and I want to post many blogs. Arrgh!
Many users die out because they just couldn't be bothered creating their submissions anymore. I still love blogging but just can't be bothered to do it anymore. I need to force myself to keep in the upload routine, even if I have to pull my hair out making sure the content is high quality.
You don't want to let your fans down because you couldn't be bothered doing PMC. This is a great site with an even better community, and that will probably never change. What's important is that there are people that keep it alive, by actively using the site.
I've seen bloggers quit their jobs just months after beginning. I have been blogging for over a year now, and I have seen this happen numerous amount of times. I have seen new bloggers come on, and upload their hearts out, and then after a few months, start to upload like once monthly, or less. This is what happened to me.
You have fans who love you, and for some, would be devastating if they had to see you stop your blogging. Although they may understand why you quit, it is still a good idea to keep going if you still enjoy, even if you couldn't be bothered.
Here's a tip: If you have commitments, many of them (school, most work) will have little gaps (holidays) where you can do stuff, like post. Even if it is just then, still go. Many old bloggers post very rarely these days, as they are doing stuff like this.
Right now, I can imagine someone leaving a comment on this blog on the lines of "If you don't like blogging, you should just stop as it would be better for you, and so you can be remembered as someone of high quality content."
This is true, but if you couldn't be bothered to blog, why stop? I notice that when I post a successful blog, I make another one shortly, but if a few have been flops, it will be like 2 months before my next upload. Don't let this stop you. Not everyone's blogs are perfect. You just have to keep trying.
If you are a PMCer of any type that no longer uploads stuff, I thank you for reading and I hope you understand my blog, and although you probably won't resume your business, I still thank you for seeing. For those of you who are fearing of giving up, take this advice on board. For the rest of you, you have been warned!
So thank you for reading, and I will be posting much more often from now on!
