cassiancc/Pyrite-Toolkit: A NodeJS powered data generator that makes Pyrite possible.
A huge thank you to CassianCC and its-miroma for making this script for me! It took a lot of trial and error, and plans are in the works to add a bulk fix option and a mod version for those uncomfortable using Terminal.
This code will work on Windows Terminal, Macbook Terminal and Linux, compatibility across the board mood now onto the tutorial. This is only for CIT resource packs on Java, should work for any edition and modloader. The script works by removing capitalization and spaces through the CIT code, allowing the game to read it without needing to use loopholes.
Here you press the giant green 'code' button then 'download zip'
Right-click the downloaded file, then select 'extract all'
Open the folder, right click a blank space inside the folder, and select 'open in Terminal'
Type exactly this but without the apostrophe. 'node standalones/pack-repair'
Navigate to where your resource packs are for your Minecraft instance, if you are unsure where to go - google 'where to find minecraft instance for [launcher you use]
Then move your cursor up to the file path, left click so everything is highlighted blue, then do 'ctrl c' on your keyboard to copy the file path. Paste it in the command in Terminal, with a space between the command and file path
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate the command, putting quotation marks (" ") around the file path. If done correctly, the file path should turn blue.
Finally, press the enter key and wait a few seconds until the finish message appears. After this, your pack should be fixed. Feel free to close Terminal and play Minecraft!
If you encounter any errors please leave a comment and let me know so I can notify CassianCC and its-miroma. Telling me what CIT pack the error occurred with, and what the error says is immensely helpful. Not all CIT packs are coded the same (it would make life easier if they were) sentiment_very_dissatisfied
