Good Forge Mods?

Hey guys, Today i'm just wondering..
What mods would be good for Minecraft (With Forge) in 1.6.4?
I currently have Zan's minimap, Damage Indicators aaand thats about it.
And about the Forge-Compatible mods.. well I tried Better-Sprinting and OptiFine but they both wont work,
I know how to get OptiFine working, but not getting off-topic..
Ok so please suggest and Forge/Forge-Compatible Mods that are useful in everyday MineCraft life.

Iron Chests is a very useful mod. So is Better Furnaces. Also I like Backpacks mod and Paxel mod.
Extra BiomesXL is a also neat mod. :D
