Griefing these days are so simple and have aren't even good. To grief correct you must first become an OP. Then do //wand. After that you would cut a big part out....or take a big part and make it tnt and blow i up. That would lag the server and make a big hole. That would be the normal way of griefing. If you want to grief at least make it look interesting, not just boring old world edit way of deleting land.
