- if you don't know the "/f owner" command, this is a guide for you. The /f owner command is the most important command in factions. It prevents people from betraying you. The admin of a faction says /f owner (landowner's IGN) on a plot of land. This causes the land to be only accessible by the mods, landowner, and admin of the faction. Thus, people who are not those people cannot open and close chests, break blocks, or open doors, or place blocks. I suggest you have a private plot for all members of the faction.
- NEVER make someone you don't know in real life the mod of your faction. Mods have access to everyone's things, and can change the sethome and even unclaim land. They can also kick everyone in the faction. My rule of thumb: If you can't hit em in real life, don't mod em.
- ALWAYS make your base tnt-proof. When you become the best faction, and the entire world hunts you, people will try to eliminate you with tnt. try using watercurtains, or living under the ocean.
- DON'T live underground This is what all the other NOOB guides will tell you to do. when you're on a pro server, good infiltrators will have x-ray, they will be able to bomb your base to hell, even if you're at bedrock level. It is also hard to be organized and have a private plot for every member of the faction.
- ALWAYS stay organized, have a list of faction rules (EXP. everyone gets one plot) try to explain to everyone that you aren't a fascist jerk, and this is all for their own good.
- INFILTRATE enemy bases. Some people would say that betrayal is dishonorable or cowardly. NO you must win by any means necessary, you must punish the weak, and dominate the server, this is what factions are about.
- Which brings us to the next tip, NEVER have verbal fights with enemies. You don't want to show people you hate them, this leads them to be easy going, and not defensive of you. they might leak information, and allow you to kill them. If you're going to fight, use a sword.
- FIRE: the best weapon used by mankind for years. Always carry a flint and steel, or for the badasses, lava. Light a dude in diamond on fire, and they'll run for their mommies. Keep in mind that fire penetrates armor, and works as well as a weak poison. I like to call fire the cheapest poison around.
- Give your faction a good image, you wouldn't want everyone preparing for you.
