"Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls! Let's welcome our newest member of the circus, Lily!" The circus master announced. "Where's the audience you spoke of Cora?" Lily asked the jester's apprentice. "In the lock of the mind of the master of course!" Cora said sounding fairly insane. "What?" Lily responded. Then Cora whispered, "I am on the other side of the lock and only the key can open it and let me out. But what happens if the key is with the master?" Lily looked at her and was on the verge of figuring out what she was trying to say when... SNAP! The circus master had taken a whip and cracked it in the air. "Let's see what you can do child." he said. "Wait where's the Jester? I thought he was just here- I saw him!" Lily exclaimed. "SILENCE!" The circus master commanded. "You will not laugh, you will not cry, but you will work. You will work until you are nothing but a pile of dry bones in the middle of a desert." he said. Lily was then handed a broom and started to sweep. She thought and thought about what had happened in the last day. She thought about the jester, his apprentice Cora, and the circus master. Then she thought about what Cora had said to her. "I am on the other side of the lock and only the key can open it and let me out. But what happens if the key is with the master?" Then she realized. Cora was trapped in that circus tent just like her. But then she tried to remember how she got there, where she was, and anything about her life before she arrived at the circus. She couldn't remember anything. She truly was in hell.
The End.
