Help for Modding

O.k this is my 4th article i've written. This one is about mods. I have a Toshiba satellite l655 laptop and it seems it's not good at mods or it's just me. Anyways i've got the "Better then wolves mod" and "Too Many Items" and i have modloader an modloader mp (idk whats the difference, btw there both up to date) and it seems that mods just tend to not to work. Can someone tell I'm doing wrong. It would really help.
