Guys, in this blog I'll show you how to use mods that you downloaded.
- First you download the correct version of forge at this website http://files.minecraftforge.net/(The newest version of the minecraft version is recommended unless the mod says what version to download specificly.)
- Then you click install client and wait for it to finish.
- Then download the desired mod.
- save it to somewhere you can find
- Open minecraft to the version of the mod(go to profile settings and find the version)
- run it and close it after you have gotten in to minecraft
- Open minecraft again
- add a new profile and name it forge
- go to profile settings of forge and go to version selection(The one with 1.7, etc) and go all the way down until you have found the forge version(example:forge 1.7.10.10.13 and so on)
- save profile
- run minecraft
- then close it again
- open it and at profile settings, click open game dir or on windows, go to file explorer and type in %appdata% and find .minecraft
- Go to mod folder and drag the mod in it
- close the folder and play minecraft, your mod should work
- Sometimes mods will need more than just forge so be sure to check the website for the required programs.
