Hey Doods! Today I will be showing you how to install mods for Minecraft Forge in 5 steps!


What you need

Minecraft Forge

The new 1.6 Launcher

The mods you will be installing


If you don't have Minecraft forge or don't know what it is please go check out my other blog http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/how-to-install-minecraft-forge-in-7-steps/




First step - Download your mod(s)that you want to install (make sure they work for forge)


Second step - Click on start, then run and type %appdata% and click o the roaming folder or enter (make sure Minecraft and the launcher is closed)


Third step - Double click .minecraft and double click on your "mods" folder (Note: the "mods" folder should have came with the forge installation. If you don't have one just make a new folder called "mods")


Fourth Step - Drag any mods that you want to play with in this folder (If you don't want to play with them any more just drag them out.


Fifth step - Close your .minecraft folder and open the launcher and select the profile "Forge" and click play.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is the official way to install mods. Some mods may crash your game and force a shutdown for Minecraft. The mod is a .zip folder you may have to extract it before placing into mods folder. If you have problems contact the mod maker. Mods will not harm your game in any way.
