Ok so hello everyone, Planetjoshua here with a blog of Making a 1.8 MOD! What!??!!
(sorry for caps I felt like acting you were excited.)
Ok so Steps, lets do this!
1. go to files/minecraftforge.net go on the 1.8 forge and select the latest src and download it.
2. make a new folder whereever you want and call it whatever YOU want.
3. Extract the file you downloaded from files.minecraftforge.net into the folder.
4. get into the cmd or MS-DOS or a command prompt and type in it:
"gradlew.bat setupDecompWorkspace --refresh-dependencies eclipse"
for Mac, its different. Its this
"./gradlew.bat setupDecompWorkspace --refresh-dependencies eclipse"
5. While its doing all of that, install eclipse from eclipse.org go to the site go to the downloads and install the Luna version of eclipse.
6. Make a new folder on your desktop name it whatever you want and put the eclipse stuff in it.
7. Your builds must be done, so then open up the folder with the eclipse stuff and run the eclipsec.exe or eclipse.exe.
8. Then a window pops up with a workspace directory, select it to the folder with the minecraft src stuff in the eclipse folder in it. Then click Go or whatever the button is.
9. Congrats! You installed and downloaded gradlew.bat forge and eclipse!
WARNING: Dont use all your codes from 1.7.10, rendering files have changed. So a blog has the correct stuff for it.
