HELLO!

If you are reading this then you probably would like to know how to make a texture pack.
You've probably seen the packs on the reel on the homepage, and felt something inside you stir and say, 'I can do that.'

Well, here is your tutorial on how to do just that...

Step 1

To make that texture pack, you will need an editing program, my favourite for this is paint.net. It is free, so don't worry about that if you have a low budget.

Step 2

You will need to have the default texture pack to edit, this can be found here;http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/166163-16x19-default-textures/

The default texture pack is a 16x16 texture pack, meaning that each block has 16 pixels lengthways, and 16 pixels along its width.

The higher the numbers go of a texture pack, the higher a resolution it is, so the more laggy it will make your gameplay. You can change the resolution of a texture pack in the options.

Alternatively you could take a texture pack that somebody else has made and edit that, but don't make it too similar or the original creator could get angry, only use someone else's for inspiration.

You should end up with a screen like you see in screenshot 1.

Step 3

Edit your texture pack, use the pencil tool to change the colour (yes, I'm British :D) of each pixel and you are on your way.
