Hello. My name is KingDewey and this is my first tutorial on PlanetMinecraft. I am going to be teaching you how to create custom splashes for your Minecraft title screen. I found out how to do this by fiddling around with my minecraft.jar. Making your own custom splashes are fun and interesting to see what you come up with.
This is a Splash
You can change those into whatever you want and these are the steps.
Step 1: Goto your .minecraft folder.
Windows- Go to your command module and type %appdata%. Then in %appdata% click Roaming. Your .minecraft folder should be the 1st one.
Mac- Open the Finder. Make sure you are in your users directory on the side. Click Library. Click Application Support. Find your minecraft folder.
Step 2: Open your minecraft.jar
Windows- Once in the .minecraft folder open the bin folder. Right click your minecraft.jar and open it with either WinRar or 7zip. When you open the .jar find your title folder. In there should be a splashes.txt. You want to open that.
Mac- Once in the .minecraft folder open the bin folder. Right click your minecraft.jar and open it with Archive Utility.
Go to your title folder. In there should be a splashes.txt. Open it.
Step 3: Get Creative.
Both- Once splashes.txt is open you are free to go and make anything you want to see when you turn Minecraft.
Thank You for taking the time for reading this and I hope I influenced you for a diamond or some crap like that.
Have Fun!
