Out of place reading music:
On PMC, there are many skinners who make(and sometimes only make) skins of characters that have already been made/ acted in other forms of entertainment. Today, I will give you some help on how to make them, and praise them.
P.S. I'm not good with pics and such, so bear with my descriptive words.
1. Find what you could make. Remember that you can practically skin anything if you put your mind and skills to it.
2. Meticulously make the shapes. Don't spend an enternity on it, but still put some effort into how the skin is structured.
2.5 Always have a reference pic with you, or else you will miss certain details (I didn't know Han Solo had a red stripe on his pants until yesterday... o~0)
3. Incorperate a style into it. If it's from a cartoon, lightly shade it. If it's from an HD game or movie, put effort into the shading/detail. Know the difference between HD and cartoony, or else your Ash will look like more like Wolverine in dumb clothes (horrible joke!).
4. Know what your skinning and want type of mood it should give of. Skinning may seem easy, but the emotions you try to give off from them are key to their popularity. Don't make your Master cheif cute unless it's your intention.
5. Name them correctly in the Title. Unless your famous on this site... then you could name it "fart" I guess...
6. Put reference pics/ exessive gifs in the description (the later is more or less my thing...)
7. Know how popular your skin's character is. If it's a super obscure reference, it won't be as popular as some other skins. (People would know who Darth Vader is, but they wouldn't all know who Yuki Nagato is etc.)
8. Put passion into it. If you really love the character/ franchise, it will really show in the skin. That is a fact.
