Hello people! Welcome to my tutorial on how to make HD skins!

What I like to do is first go to a game called Skincraft- http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/571250

It basically is an easy skin maker. You press play, watch some adds and hop right into it. First click new skin. Then select your base ( I like to use blank ). Then up in the corner is a button called "New Layer". Click that. Select custom. Then choose what body part you want to start with. Below the layout there is a red square. Click that square and choose your color. Every time you want to change colors you must click this square. So youve finished the first part. Click save and continue and in the right-hand corner you will find a new layer button. Click that and choose the body part. Do all the parts until youre done and hapy with the turnout. Be sure not to have shaded because that is in the next part. Then you click Export/Save and savve it onto your desktop as a .png file. Now onto my favorite part. The SHADING!!

This is how you make your skin "HD." Go to MinersNeedCoolShoes- http://www.minershoes.com/

At the top of the screen near a poorly made green and blue head is a button labeled "Upload." Click that and make an account if you dont aleready have one. So make an account, Log in, click upload choose and the file from your desktop of your previously made skin. Name the skin etc. etc. Then click share. Your unshaded skin will now be uploaded to the site. Dont worry, there are thousands of skins on this website so it will be rare yours will ever be found. In the corner click edit skin. ( The button has a pixelated pencil on it ) NOW the shading will begin. When the page loads you will get a nice little layout of you skin and a full blown picture. Near the little pink head with a heart on it is a brush with a trail of orange paint. Click this. In the bottom right corner there is also a pen button thingy. Click that and with your cursor select the color you want to shade first. If you still have the brush selected, drag the cursor over to the color you just selected. Then click and drag. AND BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS SHADED!! You will have to use the color select tool for every new color you want to shade. Once you have shaded your now HD skin to your hearts content click download in the corner. The page pulled up will say navigation cancelled. Dont worry nothing is wrong. Youll notice the download has started. Your file should be labeled as sketch.png. This file now has your HD skin and can be uploaded to Minecraft!!

Thankyou all very much for reading this, it took me 20 minutes to type and my wrists hurt. So please subscribe for more daily blogs and diamond and comment to make me happy!

Have fun skinners!!

Cheers,

..That isn't "HD", HD skins are the new 128x128 pixeled skins, instead of the usual 64x32. This is literally just shading, shading is not the same as smaller pixels being used to create more detailed skins.

It's noise, not HD. It's really not useful for HD skin making honestly, but if you don't know how to make HD skins, It is likely as close as you can get.

thats not HD, that is noise, and you can do that with paint.net, MCSkin3D, and many others, MinersNeedCoolShoes is one of the worst minecraft skin sites out there since it in fact has no way of flagging copied skins

I don't think that's hd, this is just an easy way to start shading. Shading is useful, but look at the image for hd Steve: its just reshaded. Nice shading, but not quite hd. Hd means high definition, so it needs a higher resolution.
