How to make it so pigman DONT spawn in nether ( no peaceful )

If you put string on the ground in the nether pigman wont spawn.
this is GREAT for tracks,making it so they dont push you in lava,less pigman = less of them swarming you
when you hit one on accident. Also if you didnt know blazes get hurt in water ( which doesnt really work since you cant place water in nether at all )

i guess you could cheat and go back to 1.8.1 ( or so ) and place water then XD

Wait, the new 1.3.1 update does not allow ice to melt anymore? That stinks :(
