Hello everyone, My name is Benji. I am going to give you an in depth tutorial on how to organize your server. This tutorial will not cover how to setup a server, if you wish to know how to setup a server I would suggest googling it.

This guide will have a easy to read format, simply scroll down until you see all of the content that you need to know about, then read through it. Please enjoy the full experience of this guide. If you would like to see more, please diamond this blog to let me know you want to see more

Making Ranks

Making & Editing the ranks may seem daunting at first, but you will eventually get the hang of it. However it is possible to get a developer and have him/her make the ranks for you.
I would recommend that new players spawn with a guest class. A guest class can be restricted to the most basic commands, and can only be aloud to build in a specified area, if at all. Once the guest registers on the website, he or she may be promoted to member.
-
After the guest is promoted to member, they may be able to gain the rank Loyal. This can be achieved from Staying on the server for "x" amount of weeks or simply getting the owner(s) to like them.
-
After that, Loyal members can be updated to Trusted, so on and so forth. I usually have trusted members able to become Trial-Mods, to see if they can help the server. This is a relatively safe way of recruiting staff as most griefers/hackers will not stay on a server for a couple months simply to grief something that can be easily replaced.

Dealing with Griefers

Griefers are something that ALL servers have to go through, there's no acception. One way I like to do to help my server against griefers is regularly doing /vanish and tping to random members. Sometimes they're griefing, sometimes they're hacking but most of the time my members are happy little people. I would recommend using coreprotect (Link Below). It can be used as a logblock AND a rollback plugin. Add in the factor that it is super easy to learn, this makes it the best deal ever

Choosing Staff

Choosing staff is a very important step in your server. How will the server stay sane if nobody is on to help it?
-
Staff should always be someone that you trust which is why I always have a interview with any applicants for my servers. If you make an application, there are some key points that you should look for

-Detailed. If someone is actually deserving of staff, they will provide a nice and detailed application. It should take awhile to read

-Mature. If they are cracking jokes about how they ate cheese this morning, chances are they aren't mature enough for staff. Immature staff members can lead to abuse and overall loss of players

-Understanding. Make sure after reading their app, that they actually fully understood the questions. If they didn't, they obviously lack discipline

And that concludes the guide, if you have ANY questions please ask away!
