Updated tutorial for Minecraft 1.9: http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/how-to-set-the-world-spawn-to-a-single-block-vanilla-19/

This concept allows you to create a spawn like you might know from a server.

Posibilities:

-all players spawn at a single block (with custom rotation)
-effects like chat message, title, playsound, give items
-send players to spawn when they rejoin
-many more posibilities

It is completely vanilla minecraft.
Easy tutorial (you should have basic command knowledge)

Please tell me if there's a bug or if you have a question. ;)

Setting your score to one didn't make it stop? Maybe you gave another name to the scoreboard.
