How to setup a mod (Windows)

People are always asking me the same question "How do I make a mod?"
So I've made this blog to tell everyone how to mod

Things you need:
  • MCP (minecraft coder pack)
  • Eclipse
  • Java
setting up

first extract MCP
open up MCP then run cleanup.bat
run updatemcp.bat
next go to the jars folder and copy the bin and resources folders from your .minecraft then paste them into jars folder
and put a minecraft_server.jar into the jars folder as well
in MCP run decompile.bat (this may take some time so grab a biscuit!!)
once that has finished extract the eclipse into a folder called eclipse
run eclipse (when it opens it will say select workspace. choose the workspace as the folder called eclipse in MCP
this sounds confusing but it is not!
once you've done that you are ready to start coding!
