Hey! For this tutorial, I will be teaching you how to shade using a shading template!
In the tutorial, I will use the shading template that made: http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/shading-template-3204646/
And I will use an example skin that I also made: http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/redblue-example-for-shading-tutorial/
Let's start -
Step 1: To make a shaded skin, you will obviously need a skin. So, download or make the skin.

Step 2: To make shading more efficient, you can use a shading template. You can either make one for later use or just download one.

Step 3: Open up the program you will be using to edit your skin. I'm using Photoshop CS6. Any program with layers and opacity will work.

Step 4: On the program, open up both skins, the skin that will be shaded and the shading template.

Step 5: Using your program, copy the shading template (select > CTRL+C), then paste it onto the unshaded skin (CTRL+V). Make sure that the template layer is above the unshaded skin layer. (All in all, just have both skin on the same picture.)

Step 6: On the template layer, lower the opacity to the way you want it. I lowered my opacity to 40%.

Step 7: Simply, save the edited, now shaded skin.

Step 8: Congratulations! You now have a shaded skin that you have made using a shading template!
If you liked this tutorial and if it helped you shade your skins, I would appreciate it if you gave it a DIAMOND!
