How to Summon any Horse in MineCraft

Now to do most of these commands you are going to need a command block. Now if you don’t know what this is look it up.

But to get a command block all you need to do is: /give @p minecraft:command_block 1

Just copy and paste that into chat and hit enter.

Now you have a command block copy and paste the commands listed to get the horse you want.

How to summon a Horse

Summon horse: /summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0

The first part tells the game what you want to do. The second word “EntityHorse” tells the game what mob you want to spawn and “EntityHorse” means horse if you did not notice that. The last part “~0 ~1 ~0” tells the game were you want to spawn the mob. So “ ~” means relative to the spot of where the command was given. The three numbers given are the X Y and Z coordinates. You can remove the “~” and put in coordinates that will make the mob spawn using the world coordinates. Just make sure to have spaces in between the different numbers.

How to summon a Horse that is Already Tamed

/summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Tame:1}

By putting this in you will not have to tame the horse.

Summon All the types of Horses

Summon Horse: /summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Type:0,Tame:1}
Picture of Horse
I have not posted a pictrue here becouse when you use this command you will get a horse. But it will be a different color or patern every time. (but most of the time it will be white)

Explained: In items you have sets of 3 variables. The first is where the item will set 2-16 are the spots where you can put items. The second is the id or name of the item you want to put in that spot, find the dec value on the Minecraft Wiki. The third variable is how many items you want in that spot, the max amount is 127. You can add multiple items into the animals inventory by putting a comma and stating the hole process over again.

Adding Special Abilities to Horses

Summon Horse With custom Health: /summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:60.000}],Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329}}

-Health runs from 1 to 30 Hearts on horses.

Note: Hearts are calculated in half hearts, so to get a horse with 20 hearts you need to give it a value of 40.

Note: But you can have horses with an odd number of hearts but the game will not show the half heart on the Visual display on the gui. Also you can give horses a half heart and it will not show at all in the gui and if you spawn it with more than 30 hearts the game will not show more than 30 but they will be still there.

Note: Horse naturally spawn with anywhere form 15 to 30, but normally average around 22.5.

Summon Horse With custom Speed: /summon Entity Horse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Attributes:[{Name:generic.movementSpeed,Base:0.3375}],Type:4,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329}}

-Speed for naturally spawning horse is 0.1125 to 0.3375.

Note: The player has a walking speed of .1.

Note: You can spawn a horse with any speed you want but I would not suggest going over 2.5 for the horse is to fast to handle.

Note: Donkeys normally have a movement speed of 0.175.

Summon Horse With custom Jump: /summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Attributes:[{Name:horse.jumpStrength,Base:1.0}],Type:4,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329}}

-Jump Strength for a horse is 0.4 to 1.0 on naturally spawning horses.

Note: At 1.0 a horse can jump 5.5 blocks.

Note: Donkeys have normally have a jump strength of 0.5.

Summon Horse with Custom Health, Speed, and Jump Strength: /summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:60.000},{Name:generic.movementSpeed,Base:0.3375},{Name:horse.jumpStrength,Base:1.0}],Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329}}

Note: This is the best horses you could get naturally in the game.

Adding in a Custom name for your Horses

Summon Horse with a Custom name: /summon EntityHorse ~ ~1 ~ {Type:0,Tame:1,Variant:4,CustomName:The Horse,SaddleItem:{id:329}}

Summon Horse with a Custom Visible name: /summon EntityHorse ~ ~1 ~ {Type:0,Tame:1,Variant:4,CustomName:The Horse,CustomNameVisible:0,SaddleItem:{id:329}}

Note: The difference between the Custom name Commands that are listed is the first will always be visible and the second will act just like, if you had named it with a name tag. Meaning that the second will only show the name when your mouse moves over it.

Special Examples of Custom Spawned Horses

Non-moving horse: /summon Entity Horse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Attributes:[{Name:generic.movementSpeed,Base:0. 000}],Type:4}

Note: This type of horse is good for Adventure maps and Builds for the horses will interact with its environment but will not move anywhere.

War Horse:
/summon EntityHorse ~ ~1 ~ {Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:60.000},{Name:generic.movementSpeed,Base:0.3375},{Name:horse.jumpStrength,Base:1.0}],Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329},ArmorItem:{id:417} ,Variant:4, CustomName:War Horse,CustomNameVisible:0}

Invisible Horse:
/summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Type:0,Tame:1, CustomName:Invisible,CustomNameVisible:0,SaddleItem:{id:329},ActiveEffects:[{Abient:0.0,Id:14,Amplifier:2,Duration:99999999}]}

Note: You can only find this horse form its particles so don’t let run off because you won’t find it.

Upside down Horse:
/summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329} ,CustomName:Dinnerbone ,CustomNameVisible:0}

Or:
/summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329} ,CustomName:Grumm ,CustomNameVisible:0}

Benchs:
/summon EntityHorse ~ ~-0.4 ~ {Type:0,SaddleItem:{id:saddle},Variant:0,Tame:1,Temper:0,Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:1},{Name:generic.movementSpeed,Base:0.00},{Name:horse.jumpStrength,Base:0},{Name:generic.followRange,Base:0.00},{Name:generic.knockbackResistance,Base:100}],Invulnerable:1,HealF:1,PersistenceRequired:1,NoAI:1,Silent:1,ActiveEffects:[{Id:14,Amplifier:1,Duration:2000000,ShowParticles:0b}]}

Note: Now some times on severs you can see benches that you can sit on. Well they do this by using invisible horses. This code will get you the horse, but you may want to adjust the Y value. In addition, to summon the horse put the command block below the bench and then activates the command block. So the horse will be summoned at the right height, for the player to believe they are sitting on the bench. P.S. you will be able to kill the horse in creative, but only in creative. Other gamemodes can not hurt the horse.

How to keep Horses from Running Away

Now you need to be in 1.8 for this command to work. Just run it off a hopper clock.
execute @a[type=Player] ~ ~ ~ /execute @e[type=EntityHorse,rm=3,r=256] ~ ~ ~ /effect @e[type=EntityHorse] 2 1 50 true

If you find any errors Please pm and I will fix it.

In 1.12.1 you need to you minecraft:horse and removed the "Type:0" because all of the different types of horses have their own way of being summoned now.

This doesn't seem to be working for me? I'm in 1.11, I'm using a command block, I have never used one before so I could be doing something wrong.
The command I used from your post is:
/summon EntityHorse ~0 ~1 ~0
{Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:60.000},{Name:generic.movementSpeed,Base:0.3375},{Name:horse.jumpStrength,Base:1.0}],Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329}}

I get 'Cannot Summon Object' in text, and 'Horse is not a valid number' in the command block
Change EntityHorse to minecraft:horse
The IDs in 1.11 changed so you will want to use horse instead of EntityHorse. You will also want to change the saddle item ID to saddle. SaddleItem:{id:329} SaddleItem:{id:saddle} Good luck :)

i didn't write the post, but if i had to guess, you probably misspelled something. to avoid this, give yourself a command block by typing /give ButterscotchEevee 137. place it on the ground, put a button or pressure plate on it, and put your horse-summoning code in the block. once the code works, it will work every time.

I'd like to spawn a horse to use as a staute. Any one have any ideas how to spawn non-ai, non-moving horse, (HERE IS THE TRICKY PART) standing on its rear legs, and facing a specific direction?

-Thanks

Sorry the horse can still turn around with the AI off. Secondly and there is no way to control how the horse can stand on its rear legs. It's randomly triggered. The best option would be to make a horse model from a block and use that
I figured out how to get it to work and a horse came out with this command- /summon EntityHorse ~ ~1 ~ {Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:60.000},{Name:generic.movementSpeed,Base:0.3375},{Name:horse.jumpStrength,Base:1.0}],Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329},ArmorItem:{id:417} ,Variant:4, CustomName:War Horse,CustomNameVisible:0}- but i went back and tried to make it work on an other command block becuase i want more horses like that but when i turned it on nothing happened? No horse came out?
is the horse suppose to automaticly appear? i put the cheat in but nothing happend

Is there any way to combine the commands into one? I was playing around and couldn't figure out how to make it work. I really wanted to get a super awesome horse that I could explore around on. SSuch as adding the speed to the jump command.

Try this
/summon EntityHorse ~ ~1 ~ {Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:60.000},{Name:generic.movementSpeed,Base:0.3375},{Name:horse.jumpStrength,Base:1.0}],Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329},ArmorItem:{id:417} ,Variant:4, CustomName:War Horse,CustomNameVisible:0}

This is the best horse you could get ingame if you took the time to bread the best horse.

You need to use a command block to use the code.
The chat window can't do it.
Use this to get a command block;
/give @p minecraft:command_block 1
Amzing post! DO NOT under any circumstance spawn a horse with 100 speed. My friend and I were messing around and I broke my world.

Yeah there isn't really a reason to have a horse that fast, but you can change that value to a smaller number. I set it to 100 as an example. Sorry about your world.

I do not know anything about the mo creatures mod, but I do know that these commands work in vanilla.
However I would expect for the mod to use different summon commands than vanilla does.

Don't beat down on your self becouse it is kinda hard to do. First you need to upload your pictures to a image hosting sight. I use http://imgur.com/ Now after you upload your picutes you need to copy the "Direct Link (email & IM)" Now back on PMC where you are writeing your blog add a spoiler it is one of the options. Then rename the title of your spoiler, next inside of the spoiler it should say "Hidden content here!". Delete all that then click the insert/edit image buttion. Make sure your cursor is inside the spoiler box. When the window pops up paste the "Direct Link (email & IM)" from your image hosting site and hit enter. That is what I do if you run into any problems I can help with that. :)

Also if you need an image's link, make a website at sites.google.com and just click on the image and copy the link.

I noticed a few typos; "costume" should be "custom", and "breads" should be "breeds". Hope this helps ;)

Can you tell me exactly the command is for the horse that is black with white dots on his bottom?

There isn't a command to customize your own horse to look like that

Go to novaskin.com and create a texture under "white dots", download, load, and enable the texture pack, and do /summon minecraft:horse ~ ~ ~ {Variant:772,Tame:1} and any other additions to the command and there you have it :) Otherwise you can just download a texture pack that has it as well, for instance this texture pack https://www.dropbox.com/s/b9mw91ie7xmplen/EqPd%20Txp.zip?dl=0
I would suggest the first option though so you can have your own custom texture ^^

This is the only horse that you can get that is black with white dots.
 /summon EntityHorse ~ ~1 ~ {Type:0,Tame:1,Variant:772}
If you want to costomise the horse you need to look into resouse packs

How can I make the horse not be able to jump but go up 1 blocks. And how can I make the horse not move but when a player rides, it moves?

Ok to keep the horse from walking off use this command in a hoppper clock
execute @a[type=Player] ~ ~ ~ /execute @e[type=EntityHorse,rm=2,r=256] ~ ~ ~ /effect @e[type=EntityHorse] 2 1 50 true

And if you don't want the horse to be able to jump use this summon command.
/summon EntityHorse ~ ~1 ~ {Attributes:[{Name:horse.jumpStrength,Base:0.0}],Type:0,Tame:1,SaddleItem:{id:329}}

Gj you deserve this cookie I am eating.
Wow, I didn't expect such a comprehensive article, this is quality. Perhaps I could bring this a little more attention if I made a video about it, using this information. I'd link to this page and credit your YouTube channel too (really what you should expect)
Do you mind?

Go for it but you don't have to link it to my you tube ccount because all my videos are crap. But the main reason I put this up is to share the knowalge that I have learned. Just link this page and if you need help make a spicific horse or whatever just ask me. But do be carful with this you can corrupt a world file with just one wrong command so test them in a test world. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
