if you wanna survive the hunger games here's a way how to do it.This is messured in days and go's up to 4 minecraft days.
If you want to survive there may be chest in the middle that has items,weapons,armour etc run to them and open one take the stuff and run away not a way people are going try to go your own way.
Day 1.Put your armor on if you got some and wield a sword if you go one and go exploring and look to see if they have shelter here. if they do you must remember where it is as you will camp through the night so you can survive the first night. But be careful you can still be attacked by mobs or other players.
Day 2.Try to save food as it is scarce and go looking around for chest but looking for players or creepers as they can attack you and you are more visable during the day.If you see a player try to fight him. If he dosn't see you ignore him and walk with caution.Find some more food then go back to camp without dieing.
Day 3.Try to kill some people get some more items. look for chests and loot from them.This day will be about food and killing. Watch out for people with bows they can range you without you finding them until you are dead. Watch out for more creepers. Find more places people could camp and raid them.At night return to camp.
Day 4.Try to kill all the players now if there is only one person think would i like to survive longer or try to kill him.
Go to Day4.1 If you wanna survive
Go to Day4.2 If you wanna kill.
Day4.1 You wanna survive longer than chill around the base sword always ready and look for cows,pigs,chickens or chests for food. If you find food go back to base and eat and wait for night and then go out and look for him and find out where he is so you know.
Day4.2 You wanna kill all the players to get out faster. Get all of your stuff in this postion.

Then go out find them and try to kill them.
