You take that leap of faith with your sanity, walking in to that utterly frightful room that contains all that you fear; which complete darkness. Unknown dangers incarnate… The air around you feels like cold, electrifying needles once you enter that room. You start to panic as you realize that anything can be in that dark, shadowed corner in which light is not there to tell you otherwise. Your cruel imagination tortures you, it tells you what’s in that corner. Your mother, except horrifically deformed? A demon? Your very own doppelganger? You turn, run from the room, slam the door behind you, and slink into your lovely, well lit bedroom in relief, but not without that feeling of despair. Why? Why were you so afraid of something as silly as the dark? Deep down you know there was no possible way you would ever actually see any of those horrific things, like a demon. But before, in that room, in that moment, the possibility that you were in the presence of some terrible unknown threat was more tangible than the air you were breathing… Then you laugh it off as you realize it was just your imagination, it was nothing real. It’s nothing to worry about. Seriously, how old are you?

This is where you’re wrong, dead wrong. Your imagination can find you no matter where you are or what you are doing, it is your worst enemy. It will disturb you at anytime, even while you're asleep, or while you're awake. It will find you anywhere, even at home, or at work. It will find and torture you, and it will never have the mercy to end. Imagination is your worst enemy because that “imagined” demon waiting to tear your heart out is now real to you. That demon is now part of your very own reality. No matter what you dismiss imagination as, because of your imagination that demon... He’s standing right behind you.
