Warning: The following is an interview with SlipB, if you have any remarks or want to talk about him more with me, there's a comment box below so yeah... Comment.. N' Stuff...
LyleJoinerVA: So, SlipB how did you find out about Planet Minecraft?
SlipB: I was looking for a place to upload my maps then I stumbled across this website.
LyleJoinerVA: Sounds interesting.
SlipB: They're not very good. I still have the posts up for nostalgia.
SlipB: ChristmasTown and Garden Centre.
LyleJoinerVA: Very interesting, if you don't mind me asking, what inspired your talent for, blogging?
SlipB: I'm not sure really. I like to write, I have good levels in English so I tried out blogging. I also build occasionally.
LyleJoinerVA: That's wonderful, so as you developed more and more blogging, it became apparent to me that you're somewhat, famous on the forums, correct?
SlipB: Ooh, not on the forums. On the site itself I'm rather famous but if I posted anything on the forums I doubt that anybody would know me.
LyleJoinerVA: What tips, would you have for people just starting out on PMC?
SlipB: Don't do drugs kids.
SlipB: Just kidding.
SlipB: But seriously, don't do drugs.
LyleJoinerVA: Classic xD
SlipB: My actual tips would be to comment on submissions similar to yours (Builds, Blogs, Skins) and take advice from those better than you. I asked greytopher to check a blog that I made once. He told me there was nothing wrong with it other than the formatting.
LyleJoinerVA: What games, apart from Minecraft do you play?
LyleJoinerVA: Also that's very interesting.
SlipB: I like to play Portal and Portal 2. I'm a huge fan of Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress. Some could say I'm a valve specialist. I also love Terraria and a cool little indie game called Wonderland.
LyleJoinerVA: Sounds wonderful :)
LyleJoinerVA: If you were asked to be a contest judge, what would be your response and why?
SlipB: It depends what for. I would love to be a judge for a build contest but I'm not sure if I'd have the time.
LyleJoinerVA: Great! :)
LyleJoinerVA: What is your opinion on Bronies? I saw recently that you posted about them, but I would like to know more :)
SlipB: Ah, Bronies. I am a brony myself but I don't like to get in people's face about it. It's awesome that you've read my first blog though. I posted something about Bronies being hated on for watching the show which I thought was unfair.
LyleJoinerVA: That is a great point in itself, that was what I was thinking, but I'm not a brony myself, so I can't really say too much about people watching the show.
LyleJoinerVA: What was the best point of your childhood? I mean there has to be a great point in it, right?
SlipB: Yeah, the best point in my childhood was finding the YouTuber: "inthelittlewood". He's always been an idol of mine and I admire how bouncy and funny he is. My biggest dream is to meet him in real life.
LyleJoinerVA: What would be your response if InTheLittleWood, was reading this right now?
SlipB: Oh I would die. I would be so happy that he'd be reading an interview involving me!
LyleJoinerVA: That's wonderful, just a few more questions and I think we can wrap this up.
LyleJoinerVA: Who, apart from ITLW, do you watch on Youtube and do they inspire you to do anything in life in-particular?
SlipB: I do enjoy watching Antvenom. He's been a big inspiration to me. SkyDoesMinecraft is terrible. I just needed to put that out there.
LyleJoinerVA: Everybody has their opinion. :)
SlipB: Sky is ok. But the butter craze has got to go. It's really annoying.
LyleJoinerVA: Yeah, but then you could say his popularity would drop A LOT and not a lot of people are willing to deal with that.
SlipB: But it's not the butter that makes him popular. He rose up on mod reviews and talking squids. Then he started calling gold butter and his fans went insane.
LyleJoinerVA: Yeah, the fans tend to be young, they have very low standards for content, anyway What do you think PlanetMinecraft will grow into? Will it grow or shrink?
SlipB: I think that PlanetMinecraft will grow to a point and then shrink and implode in on itself only to fire all of the members randomly across the internet. Kind of like a star.
