Hello People of PMC! :)
Today I thought of a topic that I thought was worth posting about.
Minecraft is quite a realistic game. But is it REALLY?
Im going to be exploring into the physics of minecraft, and discover is more realistic, or unrealistic.
Lets go.
Gravity:
Okay, we all know sand and gravel are effected by gravity. But in the real world, everything is effected by gravity. In minecraft, we see floating islands on rare occasions, we can make dirt and stone float in mid-air. Which isn't really realistic.
This also applies to trees. When you chop down a tree, it doesn't fall over. It just stands there stationary in mid-air.
Lava:
Ok, in the real world, we melt if we even get closer to lava. In Minecraft, you aren't effected by it until you actually fall in there. If we were to fall in there, we would die in a jiffy. But in minecraft, its possible to get out alive.
Water:
Ok, we can jump of a 100 block tower, and survive the fall in water thats 1 block in depth. This is unrealistic because even if the water was deep, we would hit the water hard enough that it will kill us.
Furnaces:
In the real world, furnaces are extremely hot. If you touched one you would be severely burnt. But in the game, we can stand on one, and do what ever we want with it.
Animals:
Animals are made of bones, blood, guts and all the other contaminants that us living mammals have. When we kill an animal, we receive minimal items. Such as some raw food and if its a cow, we get some leather. But we don't get any bones, blood, or guts. Also sheep should drop lamb.
Oceans:
The deepest an ocean can get in minecraft is no more then 40 or so blocks, thats 40 meters here on earth. Oceans here can be as deep as 5 kilometres. (5000 Blocks)
Clouds:
Clouds in minecraft are only 130 blocks in the air. Thats extremely low compared to earth! On earth here, clouds are about 5 kilometres.
Spiderwebs:
Spiderwebs here on earth do not slow us down as all. We just walk straight through them. Although they do leave us in a jumble. I don't understand why in minecraft they slow us down extremely...
Looking at the main point of minecraft, you could say is realistic. You spawn in a world, with oceans, jungles, rivers, forest etc. Thats realistic. But the physical aspect is not quite >.<
Leave some comments of ones i missed out on and if they are good enough ill add them to the list :) As well as adding you to the credit list :)
Leave a DIAMOND if you enjoyed. Lets see if we can hit 20 subscribers this weekend :)

They can melt iron (which needs more than 1000°C) and can cook meat (200°C)
Have some science.
The End is... well, a floating island inhabited by Endermen and the Ender Dragon, complete with obsidian pillars and magical crystals that heal said dragon upon being hurt. Enough said, right?
The Nether is probably many people's reflection of a sort of Hell. Except that the Nether is accessible back and forth through portals, and you can make many. Saying for the minute that this Hell exists, I'm pretty sure that it isn't accessible in the same way as the Nether.
As awesome as the dimensions are, I think it's pretty safe to say they're also pretty unrealistic. :p
