Is minecraft working!?

This is less of a rant and more of an inquiry....
Is it just me or can no one else log on to minecraft right now. Not via the client or get to the actual website....??
Ive looked at forums and such and cannot find anything saying why its down, is this some sort of routine restart, did their systems crash, or did the unthinkable happen and its just my login. The last i know isnt true actually cus my friend cant log on either. Any ideas?
