Have you ever played Minecraft before 1.8?
And I mean truly played it before that?
Having gone through nearly as much as we have?
Breaking your first block confused yet excited by the concept.
Stumbling upon your first village by mistake.
Venturing through the old school Nether, unsure if you would make it back to the Overworld before hunger struck you down.
Finding yourself in a ruined stronghold that housed a gateway to places only your imagination may lead.
If you have, then you probably understand the feeling of not wanting to abandoned that beach many of us have woken up on time and time again.
Waking up to be greeted by the feeling of a world designed to be at your fingertips; a world for you to shape into whatever it is you desire.
Its simplistic nature harbors both excitement and amazement, leaching off your curiosity.
Carving its' endless potential into your conscious.
Having traveled those lands for years without end, always staring off into the horizon as the sun sets in what feels just beyond my reach.
I reminisce about a journey that I, along with many others endured long ago, and will never be able to relive.
To the reader, or the listener, even though not possible.
Please, take up your pick, and live out this game before this over saturated era tainted our curiosities.
Before we knew every crafting recipe, every strategic method, every answer to every mystery.
Please, let me take you back;
Back to when we were scared of the caves.
Back to when we knew nothing of what lay beyond.
Back to when school was a blur and nothing else mattered.
Start your journey again old friend; even though late, and come with us as we all wake up together on the sandy beach, one last time.
