About a year ago, Mojang made a eula change, a change in the agreement, where you could not sell virtual goods in minecraft, yet did not enforce it, until now... A few days ago Mojang has not yet confirmed but are thinking about enforcing it. Rumors are spreading that this is simply to make out more profit out of their new minecraft realms featuer...

What does this mean? Basicaly, all the server that are running on donations, as of most servers will shut down. Chances are the your favorite server is running on donations, running a server costs alot of money. I know this blog is short and shouldn't be diamond but for the sake of minecraft, we need to spread this out.

But, before you get all pissed off at mojang, you need to say it from their side, basicaly all servers that has been running on donations has been illegal in the past year. But mojang let is pass, but they are just sick of it... why? they are getting emails of parents wanting to get refunds because their child paid for donator and the parents didn't want to, where the kids just stole the credit card to get abusive 1000$ kits. Mojang knows that alot of servers need money to run, but they don't want those bad owners profiting form it. It's making mojang look bad. They want you to make money to run your server but not abuse it, how do they want you to make this? they don't quite know nether do we.

But, on the other hand, thousands of people has quit school & work to work on the minecraft servers, to code new ideas, where they are actualy paid. For them this is their job they need the money, they have been allowed to do it and now they might just have to find a new way to make money.

As I said above, Mojang has not yet confirmed this, but we should petition before it's to late, To join the petition: https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/mojang-change-the-eula-4#share

And share it to all your friends who play minecraft.
Thank you,

Hate to break it to you that this barely does anything to Minecraft as a whole.  The only thing that's going to happen is a ton of little kids are going to freak out because they can't read and understand things correctly.  You still can accept donations for servers, just not "purchases" and you can't "purchase" any Minecraft items such as a diamond sword, dirt, etc.  You CAN purchase commands/perks however since mojang doesn't 'own' them.

Infact certain donator perks/commands aren't even allowed, Mojang doesn't want to donators to have anything that will influence their gameplay. So, no /repair or /feed and no donator kits. What you can give though is pets, fire particals that follow you and anything pretty much that won't give you an edge, like /hat. Mojang just doesn't want the servers to be pay to play or pay to win.

I don't think Mojang will do this, they are very considerate to minecraft server owners, I don't think they would do that.
