Although completely unrelated to Minecraft, here is a brief introduction to futuristic life in Japan.
In Japan, a robot named Pepper-kun was manufactured in the 2010s and sold for about 100,000 yen (about $8,000 in today's dollars).
This was the closest we have come to an era in which a robot is a part of the family.
The robot was treated like a family member by dressing it and communicating with it, and it also served as a guide at the front desk of a company.
In the late 2010s, the production of Pepper-kun was discontinued, but in the 2020s, a Japanese company called Panasonic developed Nicobo under the theme of "weak robot" or "healing robot.
Nicobo was sold at a lower price than Pepper-kun, and it became more realistic in terms of communication, although it does not seem to respond to replies.
The next time a robot will be part of the family, hopefully it will be in China, where it will be a competitor in robotics manufacturing.
