JUST AN ILLUSION - Part 1

My name is Jacob.
I have been questioning a lot of things lately.
What is the point of life? Would anyone even care if I lost my life? It was all so unclear. I was unsure of myself. I was lost in a spiraling depression.
You are nothing, is all I would tell myself.
But all these questions were answered after this.

I was in bed, reading a book called Lost Souls. I was astounded by it, and I couldn't stop reading it. Though when I read the last verse, my life was changed forever.
It was only until the last paragraph, was I confused, reading:

"The lost souls have now found there way, though you have not. You are still lost yourself. If you are so unsure of life, it will be easily ended. The shadows will watch you. Prepare..."

I felt like this was deeply important, seeing I was so interested in the book. That very night, I lay in bed staring at the ceiling, thinking what that could possibly mean. I eventually drifted off to sleep, and woke up in the morning, as usual. Doing my daily routine, I went to open the door of my bedroom to go downstairs and fix myself some breakfast. Though the door was locked from the outside. Turning around, I see a horrific message written in scarlet blood - Your fate is near, go back to bed.
