Well if you keep on dieing then WTF IS no jking but any ways you should first get food (1.8 - 1.0.0)
2. Do not try to move to the mob when when fighting let it come to you (NOT FOR SKELETONS RUN TO THEM)
3. never try to kill an enderman with out a diamond sword or iron you will most likly die
4. When you are low on life? RUN don't fight
