intro

sorry about missing last week again! i got super busy with real life stuff and didn't have time. admittedly the schedule for these posts might have to get a bit looser since i might keep getting busy like that. so if i end up missing any weeks that's probably why. also just like last mod post i would love any mod recommendation since i am running out of ones i'm familiar with and are dense enough for a post, so any help is always appreciated!

what is mystical world?

mystical world is a mod that adds many mobs and ores in an effort to add a mystical value to vanilla minecraft. it doesn't add too many major changes but it adds enough that i wouldn't classify it as a vanilla+ mod, it works a solid addition to any magic or nature based mod packs although it might add some things other mods also add.

likes

the mobs

i think the real highlight to this mod is the mobs it adds. some are mobs that plenty of other mods have added such as deer or owls but i personally love it's addition of beetles. i'm not as big into beetles as some people i know [​not sure i physically could be as into beetles as pearls is] but i still love these little guys. you can tame them with melon seeds and they will chill out on your shoulder which is just fantastic. the mod also adds silk worms which are just super useful!

dislikes

it isn't very robust

this mod adds some cool things but it is a bit limited in what it adds and some things feel like they were just added for the sake of it. for example the ores it adds are the same ores plenty of mods add and they feel kinda of useless since they just make armour and tools which is kind of disappointing. i think i would have a more favourable opinion of this mod it just added some stuff really well instead of trying to dip it's toes in a bit of everything.

final thoughts

mystical world is a fun mod with some cool additions although a lot of it feels like the same sort of stuff i've seen in a billion different mods. despite that it still adds some great stuff that i love to see. so i do think it's worth checking out or even adding to mod packs although you might want to disable some stuff to prevent repeated ores or mobs.
