[b][u]Lava's True Colours[/u][/b]

If someone were to say to you lava, your immediate thought would be death. And yes, that is true, because lava is a natural killer who feeds on the souls, corpses and cries of help of players. Though while there are a lot of things lava will ruin, and a lot of ways how, in each 'thing', there's a small bit of good. My ambitious attempt, show the true colours of lava, the soft spots inside of him.

[b]Cobblestone Generating[/b]

Lava is a main component in cobblestone generators, therefore incredibly useful in this purpose. Working beside his friend water, he makes cobblestoning easier than ABC. D.

[b]Obsidian Generating[/b]

Like making cobblestone, lava also teams up with his sidekick water to make obsidian. Why is this a good thing? Did you hear me, I said obs - id - ian.

[b]Fountains[/b]

Stuck on a beautiful decoration for your equally beautiful nether base of nefariousness (is that a word?)? If no, then this is awkward. If yes, then a lava fountain might be the perfect thing for you. 

[b]Smelting[/b]

If you didn't know, a bucket of lava can smelt 100 objects in one go. That's a lot of iron ingots. So lava comes in handy with getting rich and geared up, even if it takes that away afterwards...

[b]Diamond Time[/b]

Lava (apparently) signifies that diamonds are either near or are on that level. Isn't that cool? Why it most certainly is. *wipes dust of diamond suit*

[b]Killing Spree[/b]

Who cares if this is going against the whole goodness of lava - this still can count! It is technically good because your opponents will burn in a fiery hell of orange pixely lava.

Got to say, with out lava I would not be able to make all of my execution rooms! Or the big pit of lava that opens up in my throne room when I don't like someone!

Yeah, lava's good... As long as your the guy holding the lever to the piston...

Without lava there'd be no obsidian, and without obsidian there would be no nether. Minecraft without the nether is like popcorn without butter!

Well said, Pykes. And what would the world be like today if there wasn't butter on popcorn. Just thinking of it makes my mind blow up, such blasphemic thinking!

the part about it spawning near lava is not true. although it spawns at the same height.
