LEGO Ninjago Five Things That Never Happened To Garmadon (part 1) Garmadon and Wu

Please Note:
The following fanfic is set in an alternate universe and was entirely made for fun. Additionally, this fanfic utilizes the fanfiction writing form/structure of “Five Things...”. Meaning though this story is written in five parts, they do not need to be read in order as they are each their own contained story.

Synopsis
: Throughout Garmadon’s life he has faced choices with consequences. Yet what would happen if five of those choices were different? Would things be better or would it just be better for him?

1

“Well, don't just stand there Wu go get it,” Garmadon said pointing to where the katana had gone off to.
In response, Wu shook his head.
“Don't put off to tomorrow what can be done today,” Garmadon said, heading in the direction of the katana.

Wu cut in front of his brother feeling an urge of guilt in him. It wasn't right that his brother was going to get his katana after all.
“Wait Garmadon, I'll get it. I'll come right back" Wu yelled, causing Garmadon to stop dead in his tracks.
“Go ahead then, I'm right here if you need me,” Garmadon said, giving a faint smile to his brother.

Wu smiled back at Garmadon and hopped over the wall. Upon landing on the other side, he bent down and grabbed the katana. In a moment, a snake bit Wu's hand. Seconds later Garmadon hopped over the wall to find Wu lying still on the ground. Garmadon ran to their father who carried his brother back inside. Their father was able to heal Wu, but later explained the dangers of the snake that bit him.
“Why didn't you grab it for him?” The First Spinjitzu Master asked, staring blankly ahead.
“W-what?” Garmadon asked, staring at his father.
“Why didn't you grab the katana for Wu?”
“I-I didn’t want to not put off to tomorrow what can be done today,”

The First Spinjitzu Master took in a deep breath and turned to look at his elder son.
“You or Wu? It appears you thought it was best to disregard your younger brother's fears to teach him a lesson?” The First Spinjitzu Master asked.
“No, I was going to get it for him, I just ...” Garmadon said bowing his head.
“There's no sense in dwelling on what you did wrong. We cannot change the past, but we can affect the future.”

Garmadon knew after that day his father would never fully forgive him. After all, there was no way for him to prove that he wasn't just trying to teach his brother a lesson. Instead of spending his days worrying about his father's opinion, he focused on being a better older brother. Garmadon even discovered a prophecy about a green ninja who was said to defeat the dark lord. Hoping it meant defeating the evil in his brother, he kept his eyes open for anyone who could potentially be the green ninja. For the longest time, his efforts to be a better brother had proven successful for the most part. He only got small offhand comments from Wu, and he couldn't tell if that was the venom or Wu just being his brother. That changed, however, when they met a girl named Misako.

Both brothers cared for Misako, that wasn't a secret to anyone except Misako of course. The question was which brother was going to confess their feelings first. After much contemplating, Garmadon had mustered up enough courage and decided he was going to tell Misako. As he walked outside, his courage vanished as he realized Misako was already there with Wu.
“Hello Misako, I didn't realize you were here," Garmadon said.
“My apologies about that, I figured Wu would have told you. He's been working on teaching me Spinjitzu.” Misako said sheepishly.
“I was just going to get some armour," Wu said, giving his brother a shove as he went inside.
“Armour, what for?” Misako asked.
“You'll see," Garmadon said, putting on a fake smile.

A few minutes later, Wu came out in full battle armour and instructed her on what to do. Garmadon watched as Misako did a quick spin causing Wu to go flying into the wall of the monastery. Shortly after, Misako found herself turning in circles until she was on the ground dizzy beyond belief. At this, Garmadon couldn't help but laugh at the scene in front of him.
“So how did I do?” Misako said smiling while rubbing her forehead.
“That was pretty good, you sent Wu right into the wall," Garmadon said, chuckling afterward.
“You still have a lot of work to do, but that was pretty good. However, if you don't mind Garmadon, I would prefer to teach Misako… alone.” Wu said, glaring at Garmadon with a faint red glow in his eyes when he said alone. Heeding the warning, he went somewhere else, much to Misako's disappointment.

After that day, it shouldn't have come as a surprise to Garmadon what happened next. Wu had given Misako a letter confessing his love to her and married Wu as a result. A few years later, they had a son named _____. Garmadon didn't let that bother him though, he couldn't change the past, but he can affect the future. Eventually, Wu surcame to the evil growing inside him as a result of the snake's bite and was cast into the Underworld after a battle against Garmadon.

After years of training ninja, Garmadon believed he had the perfect team: Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane. He had hoped one of them would have been the green ninja, yet the golden weapons didn't react to any of them. It wasn't until Kai saved his nephew from a Volcano that Garmadon realized who the Green Ninja was.
“I knew when I had to make a choice. I wanted the Fangblade so badly, to prove I was good enough to become the Green Ninja. But then I figured it out. All of my training to become the best ninja wasn't in preparation to become the Green Ninja. It was to protect him.” Kaid said staring at ____.
“What? What is everybody looking at me for?” ____ asked.
“That means…” Nya said, grabbing two of the golden weapons while Kai and Cole grabbed the other two.

____ held the Sword of Fire and the Scythe of Quakes in his hands. However, after the other Golden Weapons were placed around young _____, nothing happened. Everyone stood still as they waited for the Golden Weapons to glow, when nothing happened Garmadon raced to find the scroll of the Green Ninja, hoping he would find a clue to who the Green Ninja was. His face dropped as he stared at the scroll with prophecy and watched helplessly as what was written faded away until there was nothing. Garmadon stared helplessly at the now blank scroll and wondered what happened in the past that affected the future.

Fun fact: I got the idea for this story after listening to “Five Things That Never Happened to Twilight Sparkle” by Scribbler Productions. I wanted to write something similar but instead of making it gory and calling it a day, I challenged myself a bit by trying to make it like something that could appear in the show. To do this I relied a bit more on fridge horror.
