Okay, so I play on this PvP server WITH grief and raid as well. I run a clan called The Whispering Crafters, who are a deadly clan specializing in the....stealthiest types of killing someone. A fun way is what I like to call the "Lights Out" way. Here's a story from what happened:

On the server, there is a hospital. The hospital will mainly help noobies and people who are damaged, and use it as a "Getting back on your feet" place. Some of its inhabitants are indeed kitted out in full diamond and iron. The hospital is run almost entirely on redstone lamps. There are few light sources that aren't Redstone Lamps inside the hospital. Now, it can't be griefed, so it's made of iron blocks. Like, it belongs to the staff and server, not users, so you can't break SOLID blocks.

One of the members of my clan pretended to be sick and starving. The "doctors"-- Who have enchanted chain armor and Iron Swords to prevent retaliation-- let him in and gave him a room. He spent the next Minecraft day screwing around in the main controls.Two of these features are covering water sources, and the sprinkler system (A really cool redstone mechanic). This is also the light switch, which will turn off all lamps in the hospital. Now if you haven't figured out, our plan was to cut the power, then sweep in and kill everyone. Killing doctors is not against the rules. So the member had also stolen and burned every single torch and glowstone the place had. Finally, he cut the power. And he didn't just turn off the light. He broke the lever, broke the Iron Block, and then poured water down the tunnel, destroying the redstone. He placed the block and put the lever back in its place. Then the magic happened.

Our clan descended upon them ferociously. Me and 3 members mainly focused on the attention of the doctors and better-armored patients, burning, shooting, and slashing our way through the staff. One member stood outside and killed anyone that was trying to get in, which wasn't hard. The guy who posed as a wounded user stole, and when a guard tried to kill him, he climbed to the top, killed the guard, then jumped down, and narrowly landed in the little stream at the bottom.

All of this was not against the rules (except for maybe the block part), since redstone dust and levers aren't solid filled blocks. Pretty much everyone was killed that day, except for maybe some users who decided to hide. Most of the remaining hospital staff, having seemingly everyone died, tried to barge past us in an attempt to run. They all were met with a sword to the face, by us, or our guard outside.

So the Lights Out strategy is used particularly in socializing with redsstone-run facilities. Get in, destroy the light sources, kill everyone. I hope you guys liked this story, and subscribe for more!
