I am currently searching mature expert builders to help me construct Minas Tirith from LOTR

Just checking but you did say you wanted to build it "to scale"? If so, then its good to see there are other completely and totally crazy people out there. I thought of trying this with my brother but I think we are going to try Discworld instead, Although the height restriction makes Discworld even more difficult since you have to take up space with the turtle and elephants.

Hello there,

I am not sure if this is up to date or whether you are still going through with this (seeing how the last post is a month old) but i am interested. However, not for the reasons you gave. Me and a team of others are working to remake the LOTR movie into a minecraft machinima (our team exists out of builders, an animator/editor (nobody else than the famous Vareide!) and a music artist.

To get an idea of my building skills, visit my page. Not only do i have Isengard, but i created Bree, Buckleberry ferry, Amon hen and the Argonath lake (is that the correct name? i do not know) plus Moria, the Shire (both which are almost completed) and other ongoing scenes which i could also show on request if you are interested.
I will also send a copy of this message plus the application format to your email :)

I'll just need to get some screenshots of what I've built. It's not much because our server got griefed to hell not to long ago and our owner didn't back it up. So all I'll have is what I recently built. (He just updated yesterday to 1.5 too.)

I would help, but you limited the age to 18 years of age and I am only 16. Also I don't feel that my buildings are that good.

The problem with MME was that 1:1 scale simply can't work in a map that's only 128 blocks high. Just to fit Barad-dur you need at least 1:8.

I would like to help, but I'm going to be quite busy for a while so I'm not going to apply yet.

Yeah, Minas Tirith had to be shrunk a little like ~30 blocks to keep the mountain behind it. I'd totally look forward to some extra help! =] and don't worry about when...this is going to take forever =]
