The new update has been in our minds for quite some time. Why shouldn't it be? With the new fishing mechanics, new biomes, and even some new blocks. For those of you that have the snapshot you know how wonderful this update is. Yet not everything is right on this update.

As it turns out, as I was building in Creative, beacons fail to start a beam when you put them on a pyramid. I am telling you this because I really like beacons and I need them for my race-track (to add jump and speed affect). I would like you guys to comment and tell me if this problem is unique to me or if affects you guys too. Another issue I've been having is that it wont let me put chests on donkeys, the slot has disappeared.

On the lighter side of things, most of the changes were much needed. The fishing in-game really needed a boost as I found it agonizing to cast my rod, wait and get a migraine from staring at me screen waiting till the damn bob sank. Even when I was successful the reward was too small and made it completely pointless for me to even make a fishing rod! But now with the new fish and the improved treasure it is actually worthwhile too spend a Minecraft day fishing. Why in one of my worlds I actually caught some good treasure, a saddle! The fishing is very fun to do now

But then again there is this achievement thing that really annoys me. Im not sure whether its a bug or it is purposely implemented but either way it annoys me so much. Every time I make a new world the game tells me to open my inventory. I've been playing Minecraft since Alpha for crying out loud! I don't need to be told the basic fundamentals of this game. Sure this may be useful to the first-time player but there really should be a way to turn this off, too make the achievements permanent instead of per world.

Does anyone even like it? If you do comment and if you don't comment, I'm just wondering about this and I am sure other people are too.

One last thing I wanted to say was that the "Super Secret Settings" are very interesting, for those of you who don't have the snapshot or haven't tried them yet it's a good way to get some laughs. My favourite way is too put on the upside-down option and tell people "that your Minecraft is broken." What are your favorite settings? Tell me in the comments below
