Greetings, dear ones! My name is Zian U, and this is week 5 of the Minecraft experimental survival text blog. Last week was dedicated to Alpha 1.0.3. Now it's time to move on to Alpha 1.0.4.

So, what's experimental survival all about? I created the world in the alpha 1.0.0 version of the game, and every real week I move to a new version. Many people consider the period of alpha versions as something unified, on purpose, or not, I do not know it, but the period of alpha versions of the game they have blurred, and represents something unified, although if you consider everything better, it becomes clear that even between alpha 1.0.0 and alpha 1.1.0 is already quite a good difference, and they can feel differently.

Let's find out what's changed now:

Changes in Alpha 1.0.4

Additions:
  • Ice.
  • Snow.
  • Sitting body position.
  • New Splash

The new type of world is a winter world:
  • It's snowing out there.
  • Snow appears on blocks in the open world, if possible.
  • Water in the open sky turns to ice.
  • The world type is applied with a 25% chance when the world is created.
Changes:
  • The minecart is no longer used as a chest.
  • The player jumps no longer 3 blocks long, but 2.
  • The game logo is now made of stone instead of cobblestones, and also has an animation of appearance.

Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug in the code of spooning mobs.
  • If a player rides on a minecraft in a tunnel with a height of 2 blocks, now he does not die from suffocation.
  • f you destroy the minecart while riding it, the game will no longer hang.
Errors:
  • Under goddamn circumstances, the player model may disappear and the player controls and physics may no longer work.

Day 1 (game days 50 to 53)

The first thing I decided to do with the new version was to disassemble the dirt box, which I did last week, so it wouldn't ruin the overall look. Then I just walked around my base and looked it over.

And then I decided to go to my outpost, where I'm digging mines. And while doing that, I found a new mine, amazing, isn't it?

There I found some iron, coal, and continued digging my tunnels in the mines, where I also found redstone. I also upgraded the outpost a bit, adding a double chest to the room so I could drag all the contents around normally later.

And a little while later, I came across another mine.

That's also where I almost died from lava. In earlier versions, apparently the player took longer to burn from the lava than they do now, so I had to eat all the meat I had to recover. And in my digging, oh my goodness, I found diamonds!

Diamonds are great, especially when there are 4 of them. I spent the rest of the time digging around and then finished the game.

Winter World

With a certain chance when creating a new world, a winter world is generated when there is an endless snowfall everywhere, everything is in snow, and water turns to ice.

That's it for now with the winter world, but I'll take a little closer look at this winter world in the next update.

Critical bug

Another of the reasons I didn't play much was that when I started the game the next day, I was stuck in place, the player model wouldn't load, the physics didn't work for me, and I couldn't walk. But luckily, using an old MCEdit, I moved myself into the water and was able to continue playing, but the desire to play because of the bug quickly evaporated.

Conclusion

I'm sorry that this week was so small, only 1 day of play, but honestly it was hard to get back into a normal rhythm right away. Next Sunday I'l tell you about Minecraft Alpha 1.0.5, and I'll try to make content there. In the meantime, good luck to all of you, my dears.
