Greetings, dear ones! My name is Zian U, and this is week 4 of the Minecraft experimental survival text blog. Last week was dedicated to the Alpha 1.0.2_02 version. This time around, I'm starting survival on Alpha 1.0.3,

So, what's the experimental nature of survival? I created the world in the alpha 1.0.0 version of the game, and every real week I move to a new version. Many people consider the period of alpha versions as something unified, on purpose, or not, I do not know, but the period of alpha versions of the game they have blurred, and represents something unified, although if you consider everything better, it becomes clear that even between alpha 1.0.0 and alpha 1.1.0 is already quite a good difference, and they can feel differently.

Let's find out what has changed in the new version of Minecraft:

Changes in Alpha 1.0.2_02

Additions:

  • Added hostile mob sounds.
  • Prior to this update, they shared the player's hurt sound.
  • Added ambient sounds.

Changes:

  • All mobs, with the exception of spiders, can now jump onto blocks if necessary.
  • Mobs are now more likely to stand still and look around, rather than being in constant motion.
  • The player's body no longer slowly rotates to face forward while in third person view.
  • Diamond tools durability has been increased from 513 to 1025.

Day 1 (game days 43 to 45)

The first thing I started to notice as I started the new week was that all the mobs had really started jumping to get up the hill, so now the monsters would be more dangerous at night because now they could jump.

After watching the mobs some more, I went into my cave, and started making the same grid as I usually do, but lower so that I would have a better chance of finding diamonds. So I started my digging.

And so the night is coming. I'm already speculating about what will change with what's coming now, given that mobs can now jump, but where are the mobs?

There are no aggressive mobs all night. I was really surprised by this. How so, not a single zombie, skeleton, creeper or skeleton at all.

But I didn't pay attention to it at once, and in the morning I went to the fort to dig there again.

There was nothing but coal, iron, redstone, and a lava lake. So I poked around there all day and came home in the evening, deciding to leave it for another day.

Day 2 (game days 45 to 48)

Already at night I decided to directly check what was wrong with the spavn, and went into a dark place where there was not a single source of light nearby. And nothing happened.

The strangest thing was not only that, but also the fact that the peaceful mobs did not disappear, as it was before.

I freaked out this morning, and decided to go to the new territories and load chunks, since I thought something with the old ones turned out to be wrong. First, I was surprised by the grass generation.

It's as sudden as possible:

The cave seems to be able to spawn mobs that can even do damage. I came home at night and was still thinking about what was wrong with the mobs.

In the afternoon, I decided to experiment with spawning mobs again, and built a mud box where the mobs would spawn in the dark.

But it didn't do anything in the end. So I spent the rest of the day and all night just digging in the mine.

Day (game days 48 to 50)

Nothing interesting actually happened on this day, I was just digging in the mine again. Honestly, nothing interesting.

Conclusion

I haven't played much this week, I can see why. But I do have something to say. Starting with this version, Mojang are starting to work on the AI, and survival will start to transform soon. And next week I will show you Minecraft Alpha 1.0.4. Good luck dear ones.
