Minecraft isn't Minecraft

Hello! Remember when minecraft used to be so simple? Without new sounds, new textures, coloured clay, carpets, horses and with the old and ugly cobble texture? Well I don't, I joined at 1.0

I am not complaining about the love and attention minecraft is getting, but lately Jeb and the crew of Mojangsters have been adding some items that are more "mods" than real minecraft. I have stopped playing minecraft survival back in 1.2.5 because it was just too laborious.

I understand that these items are just being added by Mojang because minecraft is just a little too boring over time. Now there are tons of things to do in the game but still, for some reason tekkit, yogcraft and any other "modpacks" are much more fun. I don't understand why but it just is. I miss the old minecraft and would really love to get it back. Whenever a new snapshot comes out I just think that there will be another crap addon that will break the game. Such as the crap new sounds (I ran away from my computer the first time I heard the new enderman).

I hope that at some point in the future there will be something out there that will just help and wiggle that point in my brain labeled as "Nostalgia".

Also, new versions come out quiet recently which screws over mods and servers quiet a bit. I imagine that if you are a modder or own a server you might be more angry than happy at the points of new exciting updates...
