Years went by, although they felt like centuries to the people of Gen. While the boy had taken the throne, he constantly had to protect it as well. Groups of heroes, warriors, and armies tried to kill him, but they were never successful. It wasn't long before what was left of Gen's leaders to decide to surrender, not wanting more lives taken. And so the Boy took the world like it was some object, naming himself 'GrimmOx', and began to use more creative powers.

First, GrimmOx divided up Gen, the world that was made on a cube, now separated into six segments. Each face of the cube that was Gen was surrounded by a border of chaos as of now. Each face was already surrounded by the Farlands before all of this, however, people managed to build bridges and other means of getting by the strange phenomenon to get to another part of the world. Now, GrimmOx magnified the Farlands effect, turning the borders of every face of Gen into a cesspool of chaos and destruction. It was now populated by strange variants of the creatures that roamed the Overworld as well as being dotted by volcanoes and being shook by earthquakes. No one ever made it alive out of the new Farlands.

This was his first tactic, make them less powerful.

However, this caused many problems for Gen that would start getting worse years later.

20 Years Later
1357 B.D.

Enthon's once great city was now in poverty, except for the bulking fortress of obsidian that sat in the center of the city. GrimmOx was not the boy he had been twenty years ago. He had grown up into a dictator, ruthless and cunning. He sat on his throne ten blocks tall and made of gold and iron, stroking his black beard that contrasted his red robes.

"It's fading..." He said as he looked at his stick, the one that helped him take the world. It's glimmer was not as bright as it had once been. He realized he ha just spoken out loud. That tended to happen because of the amount of time he spent alone. He started to keep his thoughts to himself from now on.
When he found this stick, it was full of power that was just waiting to be used. It unearthed a lust for power in himself that he hadn't even known was in him before.

Using it's power felt...exciting, like it was the only thing on this world that could bring him joy. Now however, things just seemed too... boring.
He had power, a world, nothing could kill or even hurt him, so what now?

The stick was dying, he could feel it's power seeping away as if it was sand going through his fingers. What then? If this thing dyes, then the entire world would destroy him very easily.

No, I'm still powerful, I just need a solution...

He reminded himself that he still had time to fix this. That he was still in control of everything right now. And that's when it hit him, like brick covered in lemon hitting his head.

I've already done all I can with this world! There's only one thing I haven't tapped into, the very core of the planet. There's got to be enough energy to upgrade this thing, more powerful than I could ever dream of!

Then Gen would die, but that would be no concern to himself. With whatever new powers he would be able to get, he could just toss Gen aside and find more worlds out in the Universe. However, there is one problem. The core is protected by being encased by a giant block of bedrock.
GrimmOx realized this, but then found his solution.
He dashed back to his throne, pressing a hidden button on the bottom of the armrest, causing pistons to open up a passage behind the throne. GrimmOx climbed down the purpur stairs and down into another chamber. Here he kept his most prized possessions. Glowing pieces of paper were organized on shelves in this chamber, all with unique abilities.

His stick was already powerful when he found it, but he also had found a piece of paper with it when he found it. He called them Code Notes. They all had something to add to the power of his stick, but he was missing one in particular. There was an open space on the shelve, space for a Code Note that would allow him to break bedrock.
As amazing as he already was, his current knowledge on the code that the Universe ran on did not allow him to break bedrock...yet.

All he needed to get to the core was this one Note, and he was determined to get his hands on it. For the first time in years, he felt excitement again. Goodbye boring world with nothing more to play with, now it was only a matter of time before Gen's death.
