Minecraft Servers Today

Minecraft has always been a favorite game among young and old. But as time went by for minecraft servers went up so friends could play with each other online. But servers havent been the same for the good and the bad. I joined Minecraft at about 1.6.4 so so not to long ago. went I got Minecraft i was amazed at what you could to in it! Then I heard about servers and I quickly got online and browsed servers on tghis website to be a matter a fact! (Thanks Planet Minecraft :D) But when I got on to look for Survival servers all I found was Zombie survival,factions, towny. Which I loved! But  could not find a normal survival sever. Then I discovered minigames. My favorite was Block Hunt! But I could rarely get into a server most of the time! Then I learned that I could buy a VIP rank to get into full games. So I went to the website of the server to check prices and it was $15 for a VIP rank and I was thought that they weren't asking to much for it until i saw the per month in small print under it. I thought that was outrages and of course I didnt buy it. Then earlier today i was watching one of my favorite Youtubers older minecraft videos. To be exact 1.4 Minecraft and he was on a server which was a normal survival server with no trolls and nice admins. Now a days I find players swearing at other players or admins and mods abusing their powers. And that got me thinking, what happened to Minecraft servers that when I joined they were that bad and why are they getting worse?
