if i was to add a element to minecraft it would be thatched blocks to give a more authentic look to builds,
the mod its self would be adding 2 new blocks and 2 new recipies,
the first block would be a un-bound thatched block and would be created by placing 9 weat into a crafting table.
to further into this you can then place four string around the new "un-bound thatch block" and create a bound thatch block, the only difference between these two blocks is the graphical aspect as it would add a border to the block that is merely for visual effect.
these blocks would be flammable and would serve no other purpose than looking better than wooden roofs on certain builds.
I do not know of any modifications that add this to the game already but so far i have not seen one made.
