With MineDeas being the second official PMC Blog Contest, I figured I may as well join in on the fun once again, especially since I am not judging this round's contest. After viewing so many entries already and the ideas people have come up with, I've finally come up with my very own ideas for possible MC additions, 3 of them to be specific.

Ever hated how when you build a glass room for a house that you can't put in too much detail with b/c of the small amount of space you have for building it and have to end up having that regular, old blocky look to it? Or what about a classic room with the areas around the top of room where you'd normally place stairs on upside down to have a better look to the room? Or maybe you just wanna have a small, yet smooth incline on the hills around your house? Those are the major things that inspired this idea for me.

Angled blocks in my opinion would be of great use for that matter. Sure, it'd be hard to design them in TPs and such, but that's where the special coding would come in. Now given, I've never really attempted coding before in my life up until recently for a graphic design class, but even then I still don't understand it all that much. But looking at all that's been made from those coders out there that create the mods for MC, or even Paril with chat and MCSkin3D, I'm sure it'd be possible for this kind of thing

Much like with the latest updates on the stairs, angled blocks would also have the ability to wrap around corners and be placed upside down. It'd give more of a smooth transition rather than that rough looking appearance to the build.

Angled blocks, like shown above, would be made much like stairs would be, but wooden planks and cobblestone would be unable to make the blocks due to obvious reasons. And on top of that, since you're taking the blocks and basically cutting them in half at an angle, you'd get 12 pieces of the angled blocks instead of something like 4 or 6.

The second idea I had come up with was the iron rods. Iron rods would be much like iron bars but in stick form, though. You would be able to place them much like you with with fences and iron bars, but you would only be able to place them on stone, dirt, and sand. Why? Well, simply because it's simple logic really. When you think of flag poles, steel beams for buildings, and so on, you normally think of them being stuck in dirt or bedrock, so really I'm only trying to keep things realistic y'know. But maybe even having them be able to be stuck on iron, diamond, and gold blocks wouldn't be such a bad idea either.

And here's the fun part. When you place the iron rods on the sides of blocks, you'd be able to have them point out away from the block itself. So in other words, it'd be sideways. When you would place another iron rod off to the side, it'd bend in the side that you placed the other iron rod on if you didn't put it at the other end of the rod itself. So you'd be able to create a pole/bar like structure on the side of a structure of some sort.

Another added bonus would be the ability to have a sliding pole for faster travel going down to the floor below you, much like at fire stations.

Flags, much like with paintings and capes, would be a great way to signify something. Having flags would allow the possibility of marking towers, land spots, etc. Alongside the iron rods idea, you'd be able to create a flag pole and be able to hang the flag. On top of that, if you were to place a redstone torch on the underside of the block the bottom iron rod would be placed on, you could just simply right click the iron rods or flag (while it's on the rods of course), you would be able to raise and lower the flag. But only problem is, however, that since there would be a decent fps rate for the animation of the flag to make it look like it was waving in the wind, I doubt having the animation would do MC much good having the animation for it.

With all that being said, those are my ideas of what could potentially be added to MC for future versions. I hope you guys like the ideas.
