Hello there, reader of this contest entry! I am Moo, and this is my idea for a modification of Minecraft.
THE IDEA
My idea for Minedeas is tame-able monsters and animals! Have you ever been cruising through you amazing base, basking in the glory of your creation, showing your friends around, when you get a sudden pang of...loneliness? Did you ever wish for the comforting bleat of a sheep, oink of a pig, or moo of a cow? Did you ever wish for a tough zombie bodyguard to accompany you? Maybe even a creeper for a wife? And yes, you may say, "But Moo, you can tame wolves and ocelots!". Well reader, I have always been annoyed by the cats(I can't be the only one) , and every single one of my dogs has died in the first minute I get it! So I wondered, why can't we tame a sheep? I for one would LOVE a lime green sheep to follow me around all day(without having to hold wheat)! You would be able to tell them commands like "Wait Here" and if they are a monster "Attack". There would also be a new craft-able item added, called the "Saddle Bag" which you could strap to any animal! It would be easily crafted from leather in the same way you make a chest!
HOW IT WOULD WORK
You would easily be able to tame a sheep, cow, chicken, or pig, by feeding them bread until little hearts come up! You can tame zombies, spiders, skeletons, and creepers the same way with rotten flesh! Then you would right click them and a command menu would pop up! Simple! :)
WHY IT WOULD BE USEFUL
This would greatly improve the overall game-play of Minecraft, as it would add just another fun element to the game! Who wouldn't want to be followed around by a horde of armored creepers, zombies, skeletons, and spiders, with cows and pigs at your side for extra storage capacity? If you have a big base with archer turrets, command a few skeletons to stand watch! Or even if you just want to have a cute chicken at your side on your travels! This would definitely improve the over-all game play of Minecraft for all.
