Well hello there, today I am entering this new blog contest called Mineideas. I am not gonna try at winning but just to share my though. So I have a idea I thought would come in early updates but you know.
Idea: Become a Zombie.
So now I present my favorite idea I thought would come, BECOME A ZOMBIE! Now I am gonna explain how this would work and how it could affect the game. So now here's how I would think this would work. If you see a zombie and you go to attack it, it has a chance to bite you instead of hitting, if you get bit you get poisoned and have a 3:00 countdown until you get affected, there is a way to cure the illness. How you cure it is drinking Milk "DURING" the countdown. You will be cured of the infection. If you do turn however all of your items in your inventory will be deleted (another important use of a chest) ad you will become a zombie, there is a cure however if you become a zombie well multiple cures. One is killing yourself which is probably the best soulution. Another is biting villagers and take there DNA in short terms and you transform back into a human. However there will be an option when creating a world to turn of infection or not, by default it is off but you can turn it on if you are a hardcore player. In hardcore mode same rules apply but if you kill yourself boom world gone :). In multiplayer this adds many new gamemodes and plugins for servers. One I can think of is human vs zombies like Left 4 Dead multiplayer where you infect the other team to win. And also maybe change Mine-Z to a better state.
Well I don't know if this has been taken yet but I hope this brings new mod ideas to the stand.

EDIT: I just looked at your mod, and there is no features that are similer to mine other than becoming a zombie.
