One day, Notch wanted to create something more in the nether. So, he came up with a friendly mob called the Ghast.

A little ghast named Ghastlia was floating through the nether. She saw a male ghast, exactly her age! She instantly fell in love. She was the prettiest ghast around. She knew all of the pigmen liked her, but she didn't like them back, no matter how many golden nuggets they gave her. She floated up and introduced herself. His name was Ghastly. They went on ghast dates, and one day, Ghastly proposed! Of course, Ghastlia said yes. All of the pigmen came to the wedding. Ghastlia and Ghastly were about to get married when Steve came through the portal and killed Ghastly. Ghastlia was so mad, she just screamed and found the ghast's hidden power: shooting fireballs. She shot one at Steve, and he was instantly dead. She destroyed his portal, too. They then named Ghastlia the queen of all ghasts and pigmen. Ghastlia and Ghastly were planning on having a baby. Ghastlia ordered every ghast to talk like a baby, so she feels she has a baby. Her family carries on that rule. That is why ghasts shoot fire, and why they sound like babies.
