NOTE: I'm not going trough the game mechanics and such. For that information visit mines.wikia.com.

This is a tutorial to those whom have just started playing mineZ (though you should visit the wiki as well in that case) and those who's having problems to survive.

Surviving in mineZ is always hard, no matter how long you've played. But by following these tips, you'll have a greater chance of making it all the way to the high north and, if you're lucky, slay a giant.--___thumbjpgt
Me and my teammates at a logging camp, everyone died at a place called "forest" but me (I made it out of that hell with half a heart). Maybe that's my amazing skills? (probably luck though)

The most important thing there is to survive is to have the mineZ map. It shows where the buildings and chests are, aswell as what loot they contain. It can be found at www.minez.net/map. Account is needed though.

What is important to remember is that you shouldn't show yourself vulnerable. Even if you are. If you walk into a city screaming for help, people will probably kill you. You shouldn't trust others either. If you're joining a group you should make sure that you're stronger than the others, or at least show them that you're not a burden.

Many say that you shouldn't head north right away and instead gear up in the south. But that's not true, according to me at least. Even if you're one of the strongest guys in the south, noobs will try to kill you just to annoy you. And if enough guys attack you one after another, you will eventually die. In the north however, there's only a few players. And they are not as stupid as to attack you knowing that they will lose. But if they're stronger they are neither as stupid as to let you escape. Fun huh? But the chance of dying in the north is still smaller. So sure, get some stuff in the south, but don't be scared to venture north.

If you've never faced a giant in mineZ before, you should know that they are immune to arrows and the smite enchantment. They have 500 health and can spawn zombies upon hit.

But how should you go north? In groups or solo? I'd say that the best way to survive is to play in a group of two or three. You'll be able to heal each other and help in battle, but you won't have to split the gear and loot to that many people. Still, playing in groups of 15 - 30 is the most amazing thing I've ever done in mineZ. Especially the time I was the leader. But because of our large number, most people had only the gear you have when you spawned. And we were easily taken down by three pro bandits.
