Surviving MineZ

I have no doubt that few will actually read this, let alone take the advice given but I feel I should at least try and help.

Since the creation of the ARMA II mod 'DayZ', servers much like the mod are popping up everywhere. Some may need some help in their attempts to survive, I aim to do exactly that.

- Avoid everyone.
A simple rule really, but an important one. Experience has shown me that few people are interested in making friends and more interested in what you carry.
- Stay off the roads.
Gangs are everywhere in these servers, and when they see you all alone they wont hesitate to kill you.
- Don't get greedy.
Simply put, those ruins may have chests full of items but if you noticed this place, odds are someone else has. Often there are already people there waiting for someone to come along looking for loot.
- Bows are your friend.
Most people will charge at you weapons swinging, especially new people, having a bow readied is a great deterrent against many players, if that doesn't work, bows are devastating weapons. Aim true.
- Don't be a hero.
See two people fighting it out? Best just leave them to solve their conflict. If armed well then you will have an easier time killing the survivor.
