I have recently been working on a Gemstone mod that adds a gem to the game the gem is very rare even more rare than diamonds. the gems spawn in giant 3x3 pillars made up of sand, the sand spawns in desert biomes making it really hard to obtain you can craft gemstone tools as well as armor.
